Scope

This policy explains how 178 Investments AG processes personal data when you visit this website or write to us. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. It loads no content from third parties: the typefaces are served from our own hosting, and no connection to Google or any other provider is made while you are on the site.

Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA. When you visit it, the hosting servers automatically process technical data sent by your browser: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system.

This is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably and to detect misuse. The data is not combined with other sources and is deleted after a short period. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

When you write to us

If you write to office@178investments.com, we process the details you give us, such as your name, email address and message, only to handle and answer your enquiry and any follow-up. Our mailbox is provided by united-domains GmbH, Germany, which processes messages on our behalf. Legal basis: steps prior to a possible contract and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Google Maps

Our address links to Google Maps. Nothing is loaded from Google until you follow that link. If you do, you leave this website, and Google’s privacy policy applies.

Recipients and transfers abroad

We do not sell personal data or share it for marketing. We rely on the following providers, who process data on our behalf and under contract:

• Vercel Inc., USA: hosting of this website
• united-domains GmbH, Germany: our email mailbox

Where data is transferred to the USA or another country without an adequate level of data protection, this takes place on the basis of the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified, or of standard contractual clauses recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) and the European Commission.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or as long as the law requires. Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are deleted once they have been dealt with, unless a legal obligation to retain them applies.

Your rights

Within the limits of the applicable law, you may request access to your personal data and have it corrected, deleted or its processing restricted. You may object to processing and receive data you have provided in a common format.
